  • National Center for Children's Illustrated Literature (NCCIL)
    NCCIL is a non-profit organization. It provides recognition of the artistic achievements of illustrators and gallery exhibition of their works.     The aim of OzLit is to promote Australian books, writing and writers not only in Australia but across the world via the world-wide resources of the Internet.   • CANADA: The Canadian Children's Literature Service
    From The Canadian Children's Literature Service offers advisory, reference, and bibliographic services based on the Canadian Children's Literature Service Collection. The Service responds to questions made in person, by telephone, in writing, and electronically. As well, the Canadian Children's Literature Service provides and develops electronic products and services on specialized subjects relating to Canadian children's literature.

  • CANADA: Canadian Society of Children's Authors, Illustrators and Performers (CANSCAIP)
    The Canadian Society of Children's Authors, Illustrators, and Performers is a group of professionals in the field of children's culture with members from all parts of Canada.

  • CANADA: The L.M. Montgomery Institute
    Established in 1993 with a three-year grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Council of Canada, and with subsequent five-year funding from the Macdonald Stewart Foundation, the L.M. Montgomery Institute hosts events and projects that bring together those who wish to learn more about Montgomery's works, life, culture, and influence.

  • DENMARK: Centre for Children's Literature (Center for Bornelitteratur)
    The Centre for Children's Literature opened in Autumn 1998. It is situated at the Royal Danish School of Educational Studies in connection with the National Library of Education. It is the task of the Centre to create the most favourable conditions for the production and dissemination of and research on literature for children and young people.

  • FINLAND: The Finnish Institute for Children's Literature (Suomen Nuorisokirjallisuuden Insittutti)
    The Finnish Institute for Children's Literature (SNI) established 1978, is a documentation, information and research centre. The institute serves as a connecting link for organizations, researchers and individuals active in the field.

  • FRANCE: Perrault Institute (L'institut International Charles Perrault)
    The mission of Perrault Institute is to promote an international program of research in children's literature, to make known the ongoing childrenís literature research of other countries, to promote and disseminate information concerning research, and to collaborate with children's literature organizations around the world.

  • GERMANY: International Youth Library
    Since its opening in September 1949 the International Youth Library has devoted itself to the promotion of international understanding by collecting, cataloging and facilitating communication about children's and youth literature published around the world.

  • JAPAN: International Institute for Children's Literature, Osaka
    The Institute attempts to integrate functions as a research institute and as a service institute in children's and adolescent literature.

  • LITHUANIA: Children's Literature Centre (CLC)
    CLC accumulates, processes, and stores children's literature, both original and in translation, as well as works on history, theory and literary criticism, informative and reference publications from various countries related to children's literature. The aim of CLC is to acquire, as full as possible, earlier Lithuanian and translated children's books and books published by Lithuanian exiles. CLC collection numbers approximately 97,000 volumes.

  • NORWAY: The Norwegian Institute for Children's Books (Norsk barnebokinstitutt)
    Starting in 1979, The Norwegian Institute for Children's Books (NBI) is an information centre and document archive for literature for children and young people.

  • SPAIN: International Centre of Youth And Children's Books (Centro Internacional del Libro Infantil y Juvenil)
    Since 1985, the Centro Internacional del Libro Infantil y Juvenil has tried to promote the love of reading in children as well as bring parents, teachers, librarians, publishers, and others to help children become life long readers and learners.

  • SWEDEN: The Swedish Institute for Children's Books (Svenska barnboksinstitutet)
    The foundation Svenska barnboksinstitutet, SBI (The Swedish Institute for Children's Books), is a special library open to the public and an information centre for children's and young people's literature. The aim is to promote this kind of literature in Sweden as well as Swedish children's and young people's literature abroad.

  • SWITZERLAND: International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY)
    IBBY is a non-profit organization which represents an international network of people from all over the world who are committed to bringing books and children together.

  • UNITED KINGDOM: Centre for International Research in Childhood: Literature, Culture, Media (CIRCL)
    The CIRCL was established at the University of Reading in Reading, England, in October 1996. The centre aims to promote and coordinate international and interdisciplinary academic research in childhood, focusing particularly on research in children and culture, children's literature, and children and the media.

  • UNITED KINGDOM: The Federation of Children's Book Group
    The Federation is a national, voluntary organisation concerned with children and their books. Its aim is to promote enjoyment and interest in children's books and reading, and to encourage the availability of a range of literature for all ages, from pre-school to teenage.

  • UNITED KINGDOM: National Centre for Research in Children's Literature (NCRCL)
    NCRCL facilitates and supports research exchange in the field of children's literature, and is the headquarters of the UK branch of IBBY.
