The Army Man

Signs of courage can you hear, can you see...

He wakes up and gets dressed,
He is brave and bold but
Deep down he is distressed
The General thinks he is the best but
What he really needs is a rest

He marches very, very far
Into the gray day,
Until he sees the first star
It is very humid and hot,
He hopes not to get shot

He fights and fights through the night
Until the stars are out of sight
He really wishes the battle would end
But he will keep on fighting
For his Country, family and friends
