Emily O'Toole-Get Out of the Pool

By Carolyn Argyle

Illustrated by Neal Stepp

Emily O'Toole-get out of the pool
You've been in there all day
Under the blazing sun you swim and swim
By the light of the moon you play.

I do fear-you'll get swimmer's ear
Or your hair, it will turn green
If you stay in the pool all day, my dear
You may wrinkle up like a bean.

Emily O'Toole-get out of the pool
I know you love the water
But there's more to life than swimming
Come join me on the teeter-totter.

Emily O'Toole-get out of the pool
We are all having lemonade
Emily O'Toole tried to get out of the pool
But she had turned into a mermaid.
