The Pimple

By Carolyn Argyle

Illustrated by Neal Stepp

He had a pimple

The size of a crumb

Upon his nose.

He left it alone

Hoping it would go

Instead it grows.

Now there's a pimple

The size of a thumb

Upon his nose.

He rubbed on creams

Hoping it would go

Instead it grows.

Now there's a pimple

The size of a plum

Upon his nose.

He tried to pop it

Hoping it would go

Instead it grows.

Now there's a pimple

The size of a drum

Upon his nose.

How does he see or

Look where he's going

With a pimple the size

Of a drum on his nose?

And it still grows-

Nobody knows.
