Junk Food Junkie

by Carolyn Argyle

My baby sister, Sarah Ann
Likes to eat from the garbage can
A banana peel
Some old cereal
A wrapper and a rock.

Skins of baked potatoes
Rotten tomatoes
Watermelon rinds and an old sock.

Dried up beans
And crawly things
Soda cans and an orange peel.

From the garbage
She can find
Most everything to make a meal.

My baby sister, Sarah Ann
Eats just like a monkey
What bothers me so
Is that they say
That I am the Junk Food Junkie!
