by Nancy Paul Fratianni
There's a monster in my bathtub,
Not your ordinary one.
I don't know what he's doing there.
I don't know where he's from.
He's used up all my bubblebath
And all of my shampoo.
He's even used my special soap.
Oh, what am I to do?
He doesn't seem to want to leave.
He likes it there just fine.
But I don't want to share my tub.
That really crosses the line.
And so I got a bright idea;
It came to me in a rush.
I handed him my bathrobe.
He got out, put it on, and blushed.
He's no longer in my bathtub.
Though he bathes occasionally, it's true.
But now he's discovered my refrigerator.
Oh, what am I to do?
